CLAMP in CARDLAND 6th Series

Here are the first information about the 6th Series of CLAMP in CARDLAND.

This new phase will be entitled CLAMP in CARDLAND 2nd Chapter, probably because the card game completed 1 year of run.

Duklyon, Gouhou Drug and Watashi no Suki na Hito are the new additions.
With the new additions, all CLAMP works have now appeared in CARDLAND (there are no works left to be introduced).

The package illustration features Kurogane (Soldier), Fye (Magician), Watanuki (Priest), Doumeki (Archer), Black Mokona (Brave Man) and White Mokona (Princess).

The package was shown at the official event and attendees report that the characters are wearing RPG clothes.

The 6th Series goes on sale in February 2009.

I think the fans might actually end up being more anxious to see the 'RPG like' cover of the box then the trading cards themselves XD

There will be 14 manga series represented in this 6th collection (we don't know which yet but TRC/Holic/Kobato/CCS are 200% sure to be in the lot, and add to it MKR, Lawful Drug and Ducklyon, that are all shown in the pictures above. Seven more titles to go! ^^).
There are surprisingly going to be only 63 different trading cards in total, which is by far the lowest number that we ever got:
Story cards: 13
Character cards: 35
Event cards: 15
It also seems that they've made some changes to the game like integrating the super-rare and ultra-rare cards to make it easier to play. I don't quite understand what it means though: simply that Rare and Super trad cards will be easier to get?

The exact release date is February 27th, 2009.
As said before, there will be only 63 cards (which is the lowest number since the start of CiC) and there is still surprisingly no new about any Special/Secret/Point cards...so the box illustration might end up being the only new illustration we will get this time around ^^;;;

I am collecting Clamp in Cardland, so I will definitely get this box ^^
Even if no one shares it, I will scan my copy ;)
But that won't be until February...and when they say 'February', from past experience this last year, they mean the END of the month (around the 25th or later...)

Thanks for the update [even though I am REALLY late in reply ^^;;;] I didn't notice it till now with the December 12th one

We have more series being included for this 6th compilation series and yet we have THE less variety of cards ^^;;;;
It would
(A) we could have a "higher" possibilities of getting rare card!?
(B) those series we care more about have much less new card to be released

OH... and may I ask what is "-Ducklyon"??

Seems like we've reached Piffle country in TRC and the Light/Dark cards in CCS...the amazing number of great scan of CCS that could have been colored but were all skipped is really infuriatingly high >x< and I really don't understand why they *waste* so many trading cards putting on coloring of Clow Cards; example: why a card of Thunder + Sakura sealing Thunder + Sakura fighting Thunder? One is enough!! Color others things dammit! I sure hope they won't continue like that with the Sakura cards too and will actually realize there are many beautiful shots that are forgotten and ignored...

wow...they are so pretty though *-* but yeah, I agree it does seem like such a waste for so many Clow card ones, especially when it's more than one which isn't really needed @.@

(Sorry if this seems like a silly question, but I know next to nothing about clamp in cardland and I looked for the answer, but couldn't find it...does CLAMP actually colour these cards or does someone else? ^^;; )

"Clamp In Cardland" is a collectable card game featuring pictures from Clamp's mangas.
There are 3 types of pictures:
-manga black&white scans which were colored especially for this collection
-new illustrations (there are only a few and are exclusively Special or Secret close to impossible to get or which needs point to get)
-'old' colored art, which could be found in artbooks and such.

This collection of card is done under Clamp very close supervision but still, I do not believe they are the ones doing the actual coloring.
Of course, the work that is done on those scans is more complex then simple coloring, there is also a lot of editing, here is an example:



The picture in the left is exactly how it appears in the original japanese manga book: an incomplete picture cut off on the left, with text bubble and such. As you can see, the colored CiC picture is complete and clean.
This picture of Syaoran was either 'completed/redrawn' specially for CiC, or the original drawings by Clamp was like this, and it was cut off when the final manga was released, to match the rest of the page or something, I don't know, since we are not given an exact idea of just how involved Clamp are, but they are definitely part of the staff.
But again, I really really don't think they are doing the coloring at all, this is left to profesionals from Upperdeck (or else Syaoran wouldn't have had orange hair, would he? ¬___¬)

Orange hair...oh my XD;; I think that's an obvious clue I definitely overlooked, ha ha. As for the picture, it may be from during the time of the manga and it was the original inked drawing before it was screen toned and cropped? (Wahh if that's the case, there are so many good Syaoran images and other characters they could use, but probably never will DX)
