I think, Feiwan Reed created a soul for cloney. He said, that created him the way, he'd do nothing else than to bring back the feathers. So he gave him a soul that only has this thought. I mean, without a soul, the body does not move, what can be seen in Tokyo when Sakura's soul left her body, she has fallen asleep. Or when Fye stabbed here...it is the same. So there must be a soul in Cloney. Obviosly another one than Feiwan expected *hehe*

Yes, Cloney is confusing me. He stabbed his own foot-yet he's standing as if he feels no pain. His eyes, they carry no change at all. He just got stabbed, yet he's expressionless. No hint of pain.

So, is Cloney REALLY back? Or is just that slight part of his heart that managed to establish some sort of plan to destroy the owner? Or, is he simply just entirely numb all over - due to the events prior to this?

i don't know about cloney either...maybe his heart changed when the syaorans both stabbed sakura's soul. his face looked like in pain after sakura disappeared when she was in the middle of her confession. maybe this is some sort of revenge.
but about the pain thing, i don't think he feels it. that one time in tokyo where the syaorans fought for the first time, cloney got thrown into a wall (i think?)...he broke his arm, but its as if nothing happened. someone says in the manga "its as if he doesn't feel pain..."

So, aside from his deliberate plan to get FWR; can we conclude that perhaps he doesn't fully have an feelings - that Syaoran, fully, will never be returned?

i think that he can be returned-we just dont know how. (some of his feelings looked liked it returned when sakura got stabbed, like i said)
but thats just my opinion. we'll just have to wait and see. CLAMP never fails to surprise and amaze me...[probably cuz i never feel like guessing what happens next ^^"]

If it was even possible, I think I love the Syaorans even more now. :D

Wow, didn't see it coming. THank goodness for Cloney! But dang! He stabbed his own foot and blocked a stab for R! Syaoran. And now his spell! What's going to happen? Are they going to go to the tube?! Can't wait for the next chapter!!!! XD

Cloney is awesome and when R! Syaoran stabbed FWR, his eyes were blazing with hatred! O.O But yeah!!!! The coward got hurt!!! ^.^ I loved how he was shocked when he found a sword in his stomach.

I guess, Cloney can never return to his old self. He has lost the part of the soul, that Syaoran gave him...and therefore there is a great part missing.

I think, his eyes were full of hatred after he stabbed Sakura. He dissappeared and you could saw his face; These eyes told me, that he want's revenge. I think, that what we see here are the momories of the body. Sakura has kissed Cloney even though she lost her memories. Mokona said, that her body can help her remember.
And I think, he can't feel physical pain. The scene in Tokyo has already been mentioned.

So..that is - course - only my point of view.

That was a seriously intense chapter CLAMP seriously has to stop making me change my favorite chapters xD But although C!Syaoran's thought processes aren't fully explained as of now, I think it's pretty clear that he has enough feelings to defy FWR. I haven't read the first two pages of this topic, but I'm going to say that I'm not the only one who thinks that when C!Syaoran looked like he was whispering in R!Syaoran's ear, he told him to kill FWR, or something along that sort. But thank god R!Syaoran stabbed FWR, that bastard deserved it anyways >.<

But then C!Syaoran stepped in front of R!Syaoran and took the blade! That pretty much gives me enough evidence for me to believe that Cloney has at least some of his heart back. But I also agree with Rayna-san and Shaolan-kun in that I don't believe, if C!Syaoran suvives, that his heart will fully be revived.

And as for his using magic at the end, I'd like to be all optimistic and say he was going to clean up everyone's cuts and stabs and give Fai's eye back and fix Kurogane's arm am I the only one who saw it unraveling?? D: and kill FWR all in one shot, but I'm too much of a pragmatist to do that >.> I have a feeling it has something to do with that fact that when he uses Fai's magic more, the magic increases its power. Therefore, by using as much power as he can, he's effectively increasing it to do something dramatic like, say, save R!Sakura. Unfortunately, every action including FWR stabbing Cloney and him using all of his magic makes me think that Cloney will die ;_; Which really sucks, because I kinda fell in love with both Clone and Real Syaoran all over again Dx

Well.... THIS is a late reply since I actually read it since last night :D However, I must say this chapter is one of the best since the past several months ^____^ FWR got stabbed... woohooo... FINALLY, we are getting somewhere!!! And is all thanks to our wicked and total PWNED cloney

And I actually found it really amusing when FWR was shocked that he suddenly got stabbed by Hein and looked at cloney in a disbelief where Cloney seems like he was all innocent and said "hey.. don't look at me, is not me" XD Before the panel zoomed out to see R|Syaoran is the one who is holding Hein!? Nice slip of sword, eh!?...

Though while everyone else are upset and sadden by Cloney being stabbed... when I was reading the chapter sadness never cross my mind, but more the thought of ... "Cloney you are wicked awesome!!!" .... It is more of a even though he may be sacrifice in the end but THIS rebel move is certainly something that we all needed and as well, Cloney is no longer the puppet but can do the things he need to do without hesitation and through his own free will!!! And that C|Sakura's wish of wanting to get Syaoran-kun back and that the love between both clones HAS indeed made a different and even something that completely go out of FWR's well-planned expectation!! ^__^

though I will be curious to know what kind of consequences would it bring with intense magic tearing the dimension apart?? and would it affect the "that moment" both FWR and Yuuko was talking about!! AND I have been wondering... did Yuuko know that C|Syaoran will rebel against FWR??

That's not really accurate because Maru and Moro don't have souls but they can more than move xD I think Sakura is different because of her feathers and cloned body. But anyways, we already know Syaoran has a soul from volume 2 of xxxHolic and we know it‘s not “Syaoran‘”s since FWR didn‘t clone that part. It’s a heart that Syaoran apparently lacks (ie the ability to distinguish what is "good" and "bad" is to him). Killing is only good or bad based on a heart, without it, killing is just killing--something you have to do or don't have to do.

Will Syaoran be the same? No. Just like Sakura is not the same after regaining her ‘heart’ memories. You can’t even say that Sakura from Outo is the same as Sakura from Rekord. Unless you live in looped time, no one person is ever the same from one moment to the next; but at the same time they are because of their soul. It’s kind of a major theme in TRC especially in regards to Sakura and Syaoran. That no matter what things you do, no matter what your fate ties you too, you’re still you and nothing can change ever that.

A good theme. It all sort of makes sense, now.

Cloney had the perfect plan to finally reach what was otherwise an unreachable character. Who else could have been able to cross FWR's barrier? To defy him besides his subjects? FWR was quite confident in the Clone. He killed, tore out his good friend's eye, and totally defied everything his old nature was.

Now, I'm quite certain this happened by accident, I by no means think that Cloney had established a plan to murder his beloved, eat his companion's eye, and murder who knows how many poor souls in how many diverse worlds-but he certainly gained FWR confidence-enough to finally get him to cross the barrier between worlds in which he has constantly shielded himself in. And perhaps, after the events of losing Sakura - a plan was established.

We have no idea where he was. Is it not possible that he could have went to Yuuko (assuming the possibility that he regained his old self) and made a wish to lose all emotions/feelings as to gain power and trust for FWR? To save his Sakura? A potentially selfish move; he may have to kill, or cause pain - but then again, it's no different from R!Syaoran, who manipulated space time, not saying I don't regard "Syaoran" as a hero.

It is also possible he created allies. Or perhaps he believed the ends justified the means. He was the only person who held the key to FWR'd demise. That's a pretty big burden. To be labelled a "puppet", to play the role of a "puppet."

Not only this, but his magic power must be exceedingly strong! It would be wonderful, of course, to assume that he could magically fix things with his immense power, in sacrifice for his own life; but that's far too easy for CLAMP. He's going to do something big, and being stabbed is only so mere to him.

This chapter is so great, but so scary as well *don't really remember if I've fainted after reading it or not D:, but I'm quite sure that I've screamed loudly when C!Syaoran was stabbed T__T*
I'm really happy that R!Syaoran hasn't died and C!Syaoran is now opposed Fei Wong. But that happiness disappeared right away when I read page 13

I don't think C!Syaoran is using magic to heal anyone 'coz, as Ashura said, Fye's magic doesn't include the healing power. I think he's trying to do something against Fei Wong's plan in this world. (destroy this world, maybe?? 'coz the insert text was: "At the end of all hope, the world begins to crumble!")

I loved that you used this line because I think it perfectly defines the majority of our main characters here. From Fay wanting his brother back, to Sakura wanting to change the future by distancing herself, and especially FWR.

I think someone mentioned it above in this thread, but it's really strange that FWR, who was able to plan all this stuff out years in advance, wasn't able to foresee this. He looked taken back for once, but somehow I think he knew that it was a possibility. He's really playing on the lines of stupidity here since he powered Syaoran up so much though.

Which is another strange thing--if Syaoran is faster and stronger than "Syaoran" why did he give him the sword? As soon as that barrier broke Syaoran could have easily made a shot. Is it possible that he can't kill his creator?

There's also something peculiar about how Syaoran is doing these things and not blinking. Consequentially, facial expressions are supposed to be a reflection of your heart so maybe there is one but it's disconnected from his body. Much like how he was as a child since back then he had "Syaoran"'s heart but his face was always blank and emotionless.

By the way no one really mentioned poor Kuro-chan and Fay! They kept looking angry and then shocked and then angry and then shocked that by pg15 they looked literally out of breath xD
