Kit-Chan, I totally agree. The moment his eyes cleared-it's him. Back.
And that one last glimspe; I re-read the chapter over and found myself crying the second time.

One one thing, this has certainly raised my likeness of Real Syaoran - him holding on his clone companion as he dies, never experiecing the friendship he could have carried...

And another; just like when Clone Sakura died...that same feeling. Our clones. Dead. I can't help but wonder if it was purposely done to mimic C!Sakura's death...she followed the same route. Once she realized she was but a clone; she began to place her life in danger-as if in her mind-her fate was inevitable. I wonder if the same thing happened to Cloney when she died in his arms? The same feeling of considering the worth of your life; the same struggle to help everybody while disregarding yourself....

WHY DO I HAVE THE SUDDENLY FEELING TO SEND ASSASSIN'S TO WHEREVER CLAMP ARTIST is!!!

i was crying after i read the later chapter, and now what? do i really have to wail.....

Aside from when he said how he wanted to know those words, I was really hit by how he said Syaoran without quotations or anything. And even while he was fading away he still wanted to complete what he set out to do and make sure that Sakura got all her feathers back ;__;

I really don't think Syaoran or Sakura are gone but the way he disappeared confused me since that's how Sakura's soul went into the tube after Infinity not after she was cloned....

Either way FWR better watch out xD

i dont want cloney dead either, but the tragedies i the story, even if its the main characters, makes it a great manga. so, don't be all "daggers" at CLAMP.

Did you see at his eyes while dying. He was kind of his old self again. He just wanted to hear her saying the words..but she couldn't Like at the beginning, when she wanted to confess and King Toya interrupted..They were never supposed to be together after all? Maybe he can meet her and hear the words he desires for.

Oh my, I would've never thought, that I'd be so sad when a ficional person fades away but this is hard. Even though I was prepared (haha, I thought so)

Oh I notice his eyes too. . . I could see like, agony in his eyes and it made me tear up even more. And it's even more despressing coz Cloney didn't hear C!Sakura's words which is so heartbreaking. Cloney wasn't too much of my fav. charecter, but boy did those tears fell. . . hopefully CLAMP doesn't kill anyone else. . . please CLAMP, if you kill off Kuro, Fai and Mokona I will never forgive you. . . and in speaking of Mokona, where is that little fluff ball?

But the worst was, that Cloney was not able do cry. He was stil only talking. It reminds me to the scene of the dark materials where Mrs coulter and her husband sacrifice themselves to save their doughter. *sad*

Oh yeah, he wasn't crying. . . wait, have we ever seen Cloney or R!Syaoran cry? I know that, in Hanshin Republic, Clow!Syaoran was crying in the rain after C!Sakura woke up and said "Who are you?" to him. Despite that, we never ever seen a shed of tear from any of the Syaorans (unless I missed something), and did you notice that Cloney wasn't crying either when C!Sakura died?

Yes, i did notice that. But that was just a scream of pain.Suc intense pain that you are not able to cry. That is possible too. If it is too overwhelming you sometimes cannot cry. Here, at his end, there was really sadness and regret. Maybe it is, because he did not all of his soul back. And we don't know if he cried in Hanshin.

That is really, really heartbreaking, not being able to cry when you loose some one and not cry when you're dying. . . the most tears we seen fall is Fai and Mokona, barley from Kurogane, I think crying shows weakness for alot of charecters. . .

But don't you think, that you sometimes need a lot of strength to cry? Many persons fail to cry. Because you let ourself really sad while crying. It just makes sadness stronger for the moment. Many people are affraid of this. But it is really important that you can cry if you want to.

Honestly, I don't think Cloney was crying because for him, there wasn't anything to cry about. He apologizes to everyone for all the damage he has caused, but even so, he's not sorry for putting himself in danger. I noticed, like someone in a previous post said, that when the Clones figured out that they were indeed clones, they put themselves in danger. This may be so because they felt they couldn't live as duplicates of the originals, or that they weren't allowed or supposed to live. I find this to be a horribly depressing thought, to think that you aren't meant to live D:

And as for the time when C!Sakura died, I think that back then, he was still fully under control of FWR and with his witness to her death and his want to hear what C!Sakura said overcame FWR's control over him and he slowly became himself again :) I see that everyone's angry at C!Syaoran's death, but when you think of it, when Cloney told R!Syaoran that he wanted to hear what C!Sakura said, he seemed so sure that he would meet her after all of this. I can't help but want to, or maybe actually need to, believe this.

All I can say is that Cloney just earned himself a spot in my favorite characters section in my mind. I always liked him, but not very much in particular, but with this, he concreted his spot. He made himself a martyr for everyone. May C!Sakura and he find each other and live happily ever after. <3

I guess, you may be right. He wanted to die. But what I find sad is not the fact he died, but the fact, that it had to come this far that he wanted to die. Must be a horrible feeling if you realize, that you are a clone - a "copy" not the original. How would that feel? I don't want to know...

I also had a thought. Maybe the reason why C!Syao looked so angry in that fight was because R!Syaoran asked if the words reached him. Becvause even though those words were meant for him, everyone except for him heard. And he was angry at R!Syaoran for bringing it up and reminding him that he didn't hear the final words of his beloved.

That's exactly what I'm all choked up over. If it weren't for anything else in the chapter, it's the realization of C!Syaoran finding out he is indeed a clone. I mean, think about it: You're not meant to be alive. You're a fake, a copy, a duplicate. You aren't supposed live in the place of someone else. You're just pretending to be the original. You aren't real. And even more, the person that made you is an evil, corrupted person. And that person is only using you for his dirty deeds. I can't possibly concieve what was running through his mind; I just hope that he came to terms with it.

And maybe, another one of his reasons for why he wanted to die is that wherever he's going, it won't be the body that matters, will it? C!Syaoran made his own soul, his own heart, and his own mind process. It's just that all of these remarkable deeds were contained in a vessel that was cloned. C!Syaoran was his own person, and I think that's what matters most, not what body you were made in. Same thing for Sakura too. Everything that had happened to this point was his own, and nobody, not even FWR can take that away from him. :)

didn't C!Syaoran also cry when he learned about Kurogane's past ?? back when he read the book of memories..

oh, also.. i dont really think that C!Syaoran didn't HEAR what C!Sakura said, its more like she didn't get to finish saying them because she died, she said " i love y.." .. and he said " i wanted to know what came next.." i think he heard her but he wanted her to finish what she was gonig to say ..my 2 cents :)

I'm so sad cloney died
he was my favorite, but I'm glad he had become a good person... I think he didn't cry because he's happy to know he's going to find Sakura in the other world (I'm not sure how to say that in English... I mean paradise or whatever they go)
I was sad when he died but being alone without his Sakura would have been a worst end for Cloney

Ah, sorry, that's what I meant ^__^;; I was just too lazy to go back to the chapter and find the exact words in fear of reading the chapter again and tearing up D: That part still makes me wibble ;_;

Exactly! That's why I believe CLAMP's definition of a happy ending still maintains. Of course, it isn't happy for us fangirls, but I don't think Cloney know just how vast a number of fangirls he has xD Cloney living=bad ending. Cloney with C!Sakura=happy ending. This is just how CLAMP's mind works, I guess. And kinda how my mind works xD As they say, he's in a better place now~ :)

What concerns me, is as of now, "artificial" beings have not been permitted to live. This could also be a pattern for the beings who "weren't meant to be." Which causes me to consider the fate of Watanuki; although he is NOT articial, he was NOT intended to be! He was not supposed to be alive...

And even with people "wanting" him, he represents a symbol of space-time distortion.

I really disagree with the whole "not meant to live" thing. I mean really, he sacrificed himself not because "OMG NOT MEANT TO LIVE" but in order to give the other Syaoran a chance to save Sakura as his repentance.

I don't think he ever felt emo and "I am not supposed to exist" about his existance when he 'came to' to speak--I mean come on, we're not dealing with Luke from TotA here. I think it was more of a symbolic sacrifice to help his friends and also to atone for all the things he's done.

And it still makes me bawl like a baby.

I agree with Kit-chan. I mean Sakura even told Syaoran that even though we are created beings, there's no difference. What's more, Sakura didn't feel that her existence was tainted since she told Watanuki that she wanted to live too. Being created and being born are different, but they're ultimately the same too.

I love it that Sakura and Syaoran are both really good children but in these last volumes their motives are ultimately selfish. In a good way, though. The reason Sakura went around getting herself stabbed so much, being cold, and distant was so she could see her most precious person. And now when asked why he changed Syaoran said it was because he wanted to hear Sakuras words...not because he wanted to repent, or make up for what he did, or because "Syaoran" was a good person or any of that junk. The two of them are always doing things for other people (even in their desire) and so to ultimately want something that's just for them...I think it's great <3

And I think Syaoran's want to know the words shows how much closer the two have become too because in Clow, Syaoran had no clue what she wanted to say and seemed fine that she was going to tell him later. But now it's the reason to his turnaround! It's actually really strange because the only thing that was holding him back in Clow was that she was a Princess and he was nobody and now he's done all these horrible things to her and everyone else but somehow he now has a greater feeling that he might be loved by her.

...I'm going to start crying again ;_;

I don't think he sacrificed himself because he's not meant to live at all! I'm really sorry if I seemed to insinuate that D: I was just trying to portray how I would feel if I was a clone O.o C!Syaoran is undoubtedly much stronger mentally to believe things like that, because I hope that he realizes that even though his body was cloned, everything else about him is very much real and original. I think Cloney sacrificed himself because, like C!Sakura, he wanted R!Syaoran and Sakura to live happily ever after since they didn't have that oppportunity. And because he wanted to find out presicely what he said: to find out what came next. C!Syaoran and C!Sakura definitely deserved to live. It just so happened that that they weren't able to D:
