The "egg" from Acid Tokyo...

AND there's that "egg" from Tokyo, anyone still remember? XD so, there MUST BE a reason why Yuuko need to retrieve that "egg" from Tokyo back then Since she knew that once the gang left that dimension, the next time when they returned again... the dimension will be distorted to the point that Acid Tokyo will COMPLETELY change into a different "face" [literary to "Country of Sand" ^^;;]

Now maybe we can revisit again, what is so special for the "egg" as the price for the water?? [and especially if we consider that in Acid Tokyo, water is such a precious thing for EVERYONE. If we talked about equal exchange value, then the "egg" in Tokyo would be something very special too, wouldn't it?] And this will be spoiler from xxxholic but...

Yuuko said that the second egg, the one without power, wasn't meant to exist, that like the two kids, the two eggs was meant to be one, the one Sakura paid, although she recieved two eggs.

Once Yuuko also said that the fact that the egg became two was a meaning that the dimensions are crumbling!! I'll look for what chapter she said that and then I'll post, but I'm sure she said it.

Assuming that, we can say that the egg is as precious as Watanuki, since both wasn't meant to exist.

Yes, just like Watanuki, the egg isn't supposed to exist and it's meaning is unclarified.

Perhaps that is why the egg has yet to hatch. Just like Watanuki's meaning isn't entirely clear, nor is the egg. Perhaps when Watanuki performs a certain purpose, the egg will follow.

I can't think of a decent purpose for the egg. It is from Acid Tokyo, and yet it's counterpart is a cute, happy, bad-luck-defying bird. The bird can withstand Himiwaro-chan's bad luck, although beyond serving that function, it hasn't done anything except provide companionship.

Because of this, it's more of a symbol of protection, love, and friendship. It hasn't contributed to much, but it's helped Himiwaro.

But here's the thing about eggs. Eggs usually turn into birds. Birds have wings. Wings have had everything to do regarding the world of Tsubasa. Sakura's memories took the form of wings, FWR uses bat wings, Acid Tokyo's tower eventually took the form of to gaping wings in the sand.

Is that the significance of the egg, then? It's potential to spread wings? To become something even more beautiful, chirpy, than Himiwaro's bird? And if so, what could this do? o_o

Great line-thinking Rayna. Maybe the egg will turn into the wings that will save Watanuki. Or something like this. I really don't think that the egg will have something to Tsubasa, since it is with Doumeki, though this thought that "from the egg will born something with wings" is totally plausible.

So aparentelly we got this:

All in all I think that the egg will turn in what Doumeki will wish, since the egg until now is just to show us that if you wish something, that could become true. And that's why FWR wanted to creat all those distortions from the beginning, to fulfill his wish, he always belivied, but this talk is to other thread I guess.

lol i allways thaought those 2 eggs were just 2 show the connection between syaoran and watanuki *O* ahh and the price for the water but maybe the other egg that hasnt been hatched yet the egg with doumeki i mean will hatch soon and a GIANT BIRD WILL COME OUT 2 DESTROY FWR!!! Well I really don't have a clue about those two eggs in Tokyo, I absolutely don't know what they could be, but I agree with Yanir's theory.

Beside this, it could also be that it shows the connection between Tokyo and Clow. So if my theorie is right and Sakura in Clow is the reflection of Sakura Kinomoto in CCS/Holic!Tokyo, then it would really make sense that the egg shows how Tokyo became Clow. They are connected since Tokyo is the past of Clow, yet they are so different, so we could say, one thing has become two :) and that would explain the reflection of Sakura and Queen Nadeshiko in Clow.

I agree with you, SakuraClowHIme200-san. I think, the eggs are a kind of connection between Tokyo and Clow Country. Now that the one egg agev bitrth to new live in the other Tokyo, we can maybe except this for the other egg. Himawari got a bird that is uneffected by her unluck on others. therefore Himawari got changed, she did not cause any bad things to watanuki anymore, right? You can say, the bird made Himawar to that, what Sakura used to be: "God's beloved daughter"...well maybe this is too much, but it surely needs this power to compensate Himawari's curse. What kind of live could be in the other egg? Maybe the other egg contains Watanuki's memories. Just a theory but I think it would fit.

Since you to pay a price to gain somethng, I guess, the price for Himawari's existence was the good luck, that Sakura has. Watanuki chose to be unhappy by himself. But I think, he did not want his memories to be erased. Maybe he wished for them as he did for the compagnion of Himawari and his memories will finally return. And then, he'll decide to defenitly not disappear.

Anyway, I never realized or even noticed until someone mentioned it a few days ago from the CHN forum.... and which I found it quite meaningful~~

Acid Tokyo have acid rain for 15 years. While the whole country was rotted away by acid rain AND mutant dangerous monster appeared everywhere [especially as Fumma said, the night time of Tokyo is horrifying]... However, only the Tokyo Tower and the Government building were remained harmless and safe. That's due to the power of Sakura's feathers since they served as a strong power shield surrounding those area.

However, WHAT is protecting THAT egg then?? If you remembered Yuuko sent Sakura-hime out to the wild AND obviously far away from where the feathers are in existance. As Sakura-hime went on the journey to retrieve THE egg, monsters are attacking and came in and out everywhere. However, out of ALL THINGS... the egg first of all not being corrupted or rotted away by any acid rain AT ALL and as well, no monsters have EVER attacked or destroyed it all these years

In conclusion, I believe the egg served as MORE THAN just the connection between Syaoran/Watanuki or Tokyo/Clow Country!! It by itself has power within that act as a very strong protection for the egg. AND as that person suggested THE egg that was retrieved by Sakura-hime would be the one that are NOT able to hatch out but at the same time, it somehow have a strong power like a shield [or like a kekkai] to protect something important within!!

I've been wondering for ages now, and I'm still completely confuzzled. Anyone have theories? Do you think it might become important with events pertaining to TRC? Nowadays, everything in HOLiC connects to TRC, so I'm wondering if there's something important in there. Especially since Doumeki was contemplating it last chapter, so I feel the egg will come into use soon. Maybe it contains Watanuki's memories of his parents, Papa!Syaoran and Mama!Sakura. I don't know, what do you think?
