Syaoran x Sakura

Tak about either C! Sakura x C!Syaoran or R!Syaoran x R!Sakura! Please stay on topic, if you don't I'm doomed. So talk about these two intresting pairings and how much we love them! Ohohoho!

I wonder how C! Syaoran feels now that his hime....you know died and disappeared in a flurry of petals. I mean I don't care if they're clones. They are life none the less. Shouldn't they have the right to be in love? (Although taking Fai-kun's eye is out of line)I wonder if he'll be like Edward from Twilight and try to die since his love is gone.

I REALLY want Cloney to be together with his Sakura. I hope Cloney Sakura isn't dead and what Cloney is doing to Real Syaoran at moment is just act or pretending so that he could save both Real Syaoran and his Sakura or the real Sakura

I like to have hope that cloney will reunite with his cloney in the end T_T I've liked them from the start as a pairing, because they were so, so, so adorable. Especially once Sakura began to come to a bit like in Oto and Piffle. But I also like R!Syaoran/Sakura too...just because they're an SxS too *likes all SxSes* XD lulz...anyway, I at least hope that cloney can have his in the end though. Also I agree ~ I hope these recent events are an act to save them and get revenge against FWR DX

I also pray for Real Sakura to escape the Death Seal. Although I wonder if Clone Syaoran wants Real Syaoran to suffer to. If attitude is like 'If I can't have mine you can't have yours either'. Also I want Lord Butt Chin to go to hell. How dare he mess with both Syaoran and Sakura!

I so agree with Amethyst Rose. Even if it's a tragic ending, I hope Cloney will re-unite with his Sakura in death. I don't care whether they are artificial beings, they are still the Clow Syaoran x Sakura which I've been following from the start therefore they perfectly deserve to be together, even in death.

I love this couple (or "these couple"??) very much, and I hope they can be together no matter what.

Someone I've met told me that "no one in CLAMP's manga is totally bad", so I'm not going to judge right now ^^

I've been a SxS fan for many years now, but I am surprisingly not expecting any romance in TRC involving the 'real' Syaoran (=CCS|SxS son).

-he is not 'syaoran', he is just borrowing his father's name.

-no matter how much we convince ourselves that the Clow Princess Sakura is different from CCS|Sakura (which is absolutely true, those 2 are certainly different in many ways), it still feels out of place for him to indulge himself in a love relationship with a carbon copy of his own mother, which he said himself when he first met her: he identified her as looking identical as his mom when she was younger+her name, the same way he recognized his grand mother Nadeshiko afterward.

-I have a hard time understanding the 'restarting time' part so I won't enter in such considerations, but
1-if 'Syaoran' restarts Time when the princess is 7, forget about any romance: he is 14 years older then her ('Syaoran' is around 21-22 years old, even if he looks 14-15)
2-if we follow the manga plot, Time was already restarted and the princess remade her life with Clone|Syaoran, not the real 'Syaoran', she officially has no memories of him. No romance either: when 'Syaoran' rewound Time, he sacrificed their bond.

-supposing he is indeed in love with the princess, what of it?
CCS|SxS are waiting for their children to find them (meaning both 'Syaoran' and 'Watanuki') and CCS|SxS even went through the trouble to change 'Watanuki's' physical appearance, so that they wouldn't have to erase neither one of their children, for them to be able to live in one same world with different distinctive identities from one another.
--> for me, there won't be such a thing as a 'happy ending' if CCS|SxS are separated from their son forever (since neither of the three can travel through dimensions without paying expensive prices, and they don't have much more to give at this point...) and something like 'he followed his destiny and went after his lover' just don't cut it out for me...

-we saw many flashbacks chapters with the younger real Syaoran and the 'original' princess Sakura, and it was all cute and sweet. Though, you will also notice that while visiting the city and playing around, he still never lost sight of the fact he was there to meet/help someone and always had in mind he was there 'on duty'.
Still, if we have to talk about 'romance' in the manga TRC as a whole, it would be with Clone|Syaoran: a couple of flashbacks chapters just don't have the same impact on our mind and heart as did 15 full volumes...

The stronger feeling I got from the 'real' Syaoran is guilt and regrets, mixed with a frustrating feeling of powerlessness, and almost despair to 'repair' somehow all the consequences that his wishes led to.
And what impacted me the most was when Clamp made an identical scene as chapter 01 of the manga, but this time with 'Syaoran' instead of the 'clone': while clony was looking lovingly at his beloved Sakura while she went away, 'Syaoran' face completely fell in darkness while looking at the death seal that was surrounding her: imagine now that those past 7 years, 'Syaoran' had been looking at this Death Seal every time he's got Sakura in front of him...if I have to choose, I would say he must have felt more guilt adding up each time he saw her then Love.

I am NOT saying he has no feelings for Sakura, just that I believe that those feelings are either
1-not romantically oriented=she is family, like the rest of the Royal Family though she is special and far closer to him then the rest,
or 2-will be fruitless in the end, which would follow Clow's words, when he said that 'Syaoran' made very painful choices for himself...

To put it simply, the 'general feeling' Clamp gave me is that there is no romantic Love awaiting 'Syaoran', and what I personally wishes for would be for him to go back to his own world after finding his parents.

As for Clone|Syaoran, I know that many fans got there hopes up because of the 'whispering' in chapter 208, but he killed so many people those past months, that I'm not sure what kind of Future is awaiting him...

I sorta agree with Sherry abit. I found it hard to make a distinction the fact whether Real Syaoran is in love with his Princess or not but what Sherry pointed out was quiet true. Real Syaoran only sees his Princess as a member of the royal family and Princess Sakura, I guess she does have a feeling for him in a romantic way. What Real Syaoran feeling for his Sakura is the feeling of pain and regrets and I guess those feelings are somewhat connected to the reversing time which he pay as a prize to Yuuko. If he didn't pay his prize to Yuuko, would the Princess be alive today? and he would have been return to his own world? So I guess, protecting or reviving his Princess is not because he loves her, it's because of those regretting feelings which he's been carrying with him for so long that he feels protecting the princess is his mission. As for Clow/Cloney Syaoran, I'm pretty sure there's a whole romatic feeling btw him and his Sakura.

I don't know what to say about Real Syaoran-Sakura couple T__T anyway, I think, in 7 years together, Real Syaoran also feel somethings else besides guilty and regret (love, maybe ). we didn't have much flashbacks during the time from when he came back to Clow country to Real Sakura's fifteenth birthday, did we?
I still can't believe that Real Syaoran is CCS|SxS son =__= (maybe, it's the reason that Sherry mentioned: "it still feels out of place for him to indulge himself in a love relationship with a carbon copy of his own mother"). I have many theories about this, but... argh, it's very hard to say :pika17:

Aww, I think everyone has his own theories. And his own I-wanna-it-to-end-like-this (a word, I need a word for this-___-').

The clone Sakura mentioned that it wouldn't end as long as the two exist. So I belive it has to end very bad for either Syaoran or Cloney. Don't think they can be both happy at the end. I mean: If Cloney dies...does he have a soul? And even if he had, would he be able to meet C!Sakura again? Her soul died, didn't it? And if the soul dies...does existing stop there? MAybe we have a sollution with the momories of her body, but only CLAMP know

Yay, someone agrees with me! I also thought that R!Syaoran's bond with Real Sakura wasn't as strong as C!Syaoran's with his Sakura.

I dont think that R!Syaoran ever felt love for Sakura, not at that point anyway, she was just a childhood friend.

Well, I thought about posting in this thread again since we've got some plot development...
C|Syaoran is dead for good...
So now, we've got 'Syaoran', R|Sakura's soul and C|Sakura body -__-
C|Sakura got the body memories of C|Syaoran in her, while R|Sakura's got the heart/soul memories of C|Syaoran(her childhood with 'Syaoran' was erased when Time was rewound)...'Syaoran' got really nothing to do in all this ^^;
Also, I still can't forget how he said he would save BOTH Sakura in Nihon, even after he witnessed C|Sakura's soul scattering around...did he already have in mind some sort of fusion between both Sakura's soul and body...?

So I will still stick to my original idea till the very end, that I see no romance for 'Syaoran'. I really feel no attachment of any sort for R|Sakura and, more then anything, I don't want them to be together just because one character is named 'Sakura' and the other is 'Syaoran'.

I agree CuteSherry, C!Sakura belonged to her C!Syaoran and he is dead now, and even if she has the soul of R!Sakura, she will only have the memories of her C!Syaoran, so Syaoran has nothing left now, I guess he will have the unhappy ending.

But maybe the rewinding of time didn't erase her memories of R!Syaoran at all, because while cloning her body was destroyed and her soul's still there.

Besides, she even knew Syaoran when she got the seal a few days before, and that would be enough to remember him whouldn't it ? ( though maybe it's me who got something wrong in the manga ).

So ... in my opinion R!Sakura might still have some memories of her Syaoran.

About C!Sakura's body, if real Sakura's body went into her body, and still remembers her C!Syaoran, I don't think she can be with her R!Syaoran without regretting that she's forgetting about C!Syaoran who also did everything he could to save her.

Maybe she'd rather choose neither of the Syaorans than choosing one of them over the other, at least that's what I feel she would do!

Actually, it would be really terrible is she's got memories from before the rewinding ^^;; Because the rewinding didn't just erase 'Syaoran', she also forgot her parents -Fujitaka and Nadeshiko- which were both replaced by King Clow in her memories, same goes with her being a successor to her mother as the most powerful magician, the purification ceremonies and so on...if she's got memories of those years, she would also remember how FWR attacked her inside the ruins and that her existence in itself was at fault for all what's happening now and happened before...
'Syaoran' won't get an unhappy ending as long as his other self Watanuki and his parents CCS|SxS are safe and sound, and of course, as long as the princess lives on. But yeah, the princess would have lost her Love, C|Syaoran...
Even if she's got the memories back, she would very unlikely go running to 'Syaoran'.

Yeah that's absolutely true CuteSherry ^^ I just hope that she can have a happy life after everything ended, and as long as that is true, I don't care if she gets her memories back of before rewinding the time or not.

Syaoran will be fine as long as Sakura is alive, no matter if they are together or not, but I think he would be happiest if he could be at her side in the end.

I think he'll be fine because, unlike C!Syaoran, I don't think he ever felt love for the princess. She was just a very close childhood friend, and he protects all of his friends.

But yeah, maybe that friendship will turn into love and they'll stay together!
