Ryku:
I stopped struggling and looked down. "...I'm a...mon..ster...." I whispered.

Akira:
I stopped. "It'll take them a while to get anywhere near they're only human after all. So we can rest a while."

Reikou:

"What do you mean by monster? If you haven't noticed I'm exactly a beauty queen in this form."

Amaru:

I stopped next to Akira. I was afraid that if I went back into my normal state that I would not be able to move.

Ryku:
I shook my head. "It has nothing to do with looks, Reikou. I-I nearly killed a child."

Akira:
"Don't worry just rest abit if you can't continue after that I'll carry you." I encouraged.

Reikou:

I was unphased by what she has said so far.

Amaru:

I laid down. As I started to fall asleep, I reverted back to normal. I felt Akira wrap his arms around me.

Ryku:
I sighed. "Forget it." Why do I even bother? I groaned in my head. I figured he wouldn't understand.

Akira:
I smiled, she had been tortured nearly non-stop she deserved to rest a while.

Reikou:

"Please continue Ryku. I killed a whole port full of people. Do you really think that something as simple as nearly killing a child would get to me at this point?"

Amaru:

I twitched a bit in my sleep as the screams from that building echoed in my head. I didn't want to go back...I was scared....absolutely terrified.

Ryku:
"I'm the only one in my entire family history so far that has ever needed to survive on blood. No one even knew until...." I hesitated. " Let's just say Akira was the first to find out and many more after to make up for the time I didn't have teeth yet..."

Akira:
I held tighter to Amaru hoping to comfort her in her dreams.

Reikou:

"So your like a vampire..." If I stayed in my demon form long enough, the only thing I would be able to survive on was flesh, blood, sometimes bones of humans and animals.

Amaru:

I calm down. Thoughts of my brother and Ryku came into my mind.

Ryku:
"I guess... except I like to play with fire and I don't mind the sun.. oh and I don't sleep in coffins."

Akira:
Amaru became still and I listened to the sounds of the wind.

Reikou:

I landed on the rooftop of the apartments and I set her down and managed to revert myself back to my human state. "My demon form isn't that much different other than the fact that if I were to stay as a demon then I would have to have flesh, blood, and sometimes bones of whatever my victim is."

Amaru:

The sound of distance voices woke me up. "Uhhh....?"

Ryku:
"I see ... and for the record your demon form doesn't look bad at all to me." I said peering over the edge of the roof.

Akira:
I pulled Amaru on to my back and started running. "They're really starting to piss me off." I mumbled.

Reikou:

I laughed. "Thanks...I suppose..."

"We must still be on their properties..." I said weakly.

Ryku:
"To me killing a child is nothing simple I've killed so many but it still sickens me that I am never conscious of it this is the first time I've seen it all so clearly,.... I felt the desire and true pleasur in it. That boy was the first person that looked at me like I was actually there and didn't jump to the conclusion I killed someone when he saw me covered in blood maybe that's why I was able to leave him without hurting him." I confessed further. My tail twiched back and forth I sighed. Maybe I should stop ranting but he wanted to know....

Akira:
I picked up speed. "Maybe..."

Reikou:

"I understand...though I was never had that snap of reality come to me like that though..."

Amaru:

"I'm sorry that I'm not of much help right now."

Ryku:
I decided to try my luck at being positive for once. "I'm sure we'll find a way to overcome our ... "problems"..."

Akira:

Reikou:

I smiled. "Yeah."

Amaru:

"Wall up ahead....."

Ryku:
I smiled back. "I'm gonna go get clean up now." I decided I smelled like blood long enough.

Akira:
I threw a rock at the wall. Zap!
"They love giving people a shock don't they?"

Reikou:

"I'll be up here if you need me or just want to talk." I said casually.

Amaru:

"I could fly us over." I suggested.

Ryku:
I blushed slightly. "Thanks." No one but Akira had ever said that to me.

Akira:
"No I'm sure theres another way I dont want you to strain yourself."

Reikou:

"No problem." I said as I leaned back and looked up at the sky.

Amaru:

I nodded...hoping I wouldn't have to shift again.

Ryku:
I got cleaned up and went to lay in bed listening to the silence of the empty apartment which made my ears ring.

Akira:
I ran along the wall searching for an opening of some sort.

Reikou:

The air felt nice as it blew around. I could just stay here and be content...but only after Akira and Amaru were returned.

Amaru:

"Hole..." I pointed to a hole in the wall.

Ryku:
Sick of the ringing I opened my window to invite the outside sounds. I rested my head and sang softly.

Akira:
I tested the hole it and ran through it.

Reikou:

The mark on my arm started to burn. "Amaru....!" Then it struck me like a ton of bricks. I quickly found that Ryku had the window open. "They've escaped!"

Amaru:

I held on tight as we ran from their compound. Exhaustion still clinging to my body.

Ryku:
I stopped singing and hope lit up in my eyes. Akira?!
I'm on my way.
I was so happy. "He can hear me now.."

Akira:
"They're waiting for us." I told Amaru.
