Horitsuba Gakuen

I used an ofuda to make a fox and it followed the sound. We went along through the campus

I didn't follow nor did I care. "I'm going back to my dorm." I mumbled.

Following at a good pace, more of the tattoes begin to show up. "Hope we find it soon." I begin to want to go faster as I got more anxious. "As soon as a strip appears on my forehead I have to take my leave. Please let me know if and when you see it...I know its not there now, but...I'm getting nervous."

I trailed the shikigami when I noticed Shika didn't follow. Did she go back to the dorm? I nodded at Saiku-chan's comment although I was curious as to why.

"Maybe once I know you better...I might tell you." I faintly smile.

"I didn't say..."realization hit me, literally I ran right into a wall "Itai..."

"Are you ok?"

"Peachy..." I brushed myself off "And you read my mind!"

"Huh? What do you mean?"

"I never said anything about why you asked me to leave. I thought it!" I told her.

I began to laugh. "I'm the one who has to leave you. I don't want to accidently hurt you should something go amiss."

"I don't get hurt that easily" I reported "However...if you wish I will leave."

I gave her an ofuda. "Just throw it and I'll come back. Promise"

Grabs sleeve. "Wait. Please. If you stay...I'll...I'll tell you why I don't want to hurt you...my friend."

I wandered back on campas lost in thought when someone's hand touched my shoulder. I whirled around and knocked the person to the ground. "Gugh!"
"Wh- What are y-you d-doing?" The voice strained. Then I realized that I was choking Cain. I threw myself off him quickly and put distance between us.
He sat up and rubbed his neck "You know for a girl you are pretty strong."
"I let my guard down." I whispered as I backed away some more.
"Lost?" He asked.
"No." I lied. He must have seen throught it because he lead the way. Once I entered the dorm I climbed into my bed and stared at the ceiling.

Right as I was about to tell my most risky secret, the shikigami found the source of the ticking. It was a tool that was part of my first memories. "This is a tool they used during..." I trailed off and crushed it in my hands.

"What was that?" I asked.

"This place... I don't understand. So much I don't know I can't possibly remember it all." I thought. "But I can't afford to let my guard down again it's only a matter of time...."

I should see if Shika-chan made it back safely. I dialed dorm rooms "Student name?" a voice asked

"Shikatsu?" I couldn't remember the last name.

"Connecting now." Why'd she have to run off?

There was a loud ringing noise all of a sudden. "Um.. what's that?"
"It's the phone." Hikaru answered as Kaoru picked up.
"It's for you Shika-san." Kaoru announced.
"For me?" I hopped down and he handed it to me. "what am I supposed to do with this?"
"Put it to your ear." Hikaru repliied.
I did hesitantly. "Nothings happening..."
Everyone laughed. Kaoru flipped the phone right side up. "There now say 'Hello'."
"Hello?" I repeated as everyone held their breath to keep form laughing again.

"Hello?" I asked into the cell phone "Shika-chan this you right?"

"Yes it's me..." I answered

"oh good!" I breathed in relief "I thought you got lost again. I'm happy that you are ok."

"Uh...okaay...." I replied completely unsure of what she was talking about.

"Some guys just answered the phone" I said "Are any of them cute?" Ofcourse I was completely joking about the matter.

"My roomates answered earlier and what are you talking about you haven't made any sense yet..." I said getting even more confused.
