Can Kobato Fall in love with....??

Well, I am very positive that this question/subject has been touched many times ^^;; but me being a somewhat newbie [afterall I only caught up to this whole series last month XD] for Kobato. I remembered many people have said that:
Kobato cannot fall in love with the person whose broken heart she heals/is healing, is that true? and why not? Where does it say that in the series or in other reference?? I am just wondering about this topic especially for the recent chapter(s).

And Kobato has "that" uncertain hesitation/blank-out as she was expressing her thought on "Fujimoto-san may be more hurt and pain" I am just wondering is that related??

I've no idea about that "can't fall in love" thing, I don't ever recall reading it in the manga.
It may have spawned from the idea that her wish is to "go someplace". In other words, there's no point falling in love with Fujimoto someone if she's planning to leave when she's done.
Then again, didn't the nice old Fortune teller say that Kobato's wish may change?

XD Hm... so in the end it is just a fanon that FLY around within the fandom for quite a VERY long time... since I actually heard of this saying back A LOT of times when I haven't even start reading Kobato ^^;;;;

I've no idea really, but I doubt that CLAMP would make such an important rule, then not actually write it into the manga x3

Woaah, you are asking about something from so long ago, from a time it was still named "Kobato (temporary)" in 2005 in Gene-x^^;;
I've been following Kobato since the very first chapter was released years ago.
The whole 'can't fall in love' thing is not an invention from the fans, but it wasn't repeated when Kobato went out of hiatus either.
The fact is she must not fall in love with the person she is healing, and it was used as a 'catch phrase' you know? When they are advertising a manga and resuming it in a few sentences kind of thing?

This is the very first pic of Kobato that appeared, and I remember the thing about not falling in Love came with it ^^ But I didn't say anything because I doubted my own memory from 4 years ago ^^;; *but I was right! ooohohohohohoh! cheers for my memory! :P*

That said, Chibiyuuto too wonders about it and don't know if it's still 'valid' or not, since Clamp never said it again.
The possibility it might have been discarded after the long hiatus can't be ignored...

Oh, so that's where it came from, I started Kobato last year, when I first heard about it on a forum. I was wondering about that too, but now thanks to Cutesherry, I get what happened!

But yeah, ads usually don't describe the story good. For example the FUNimation's ads are proved completely false to the actual story, but sometimes fans see them and think it true and run with it...

I have a feeling that in the end, Kobato won't want to go to "that place" anymore. And I also have an idea that this is related to Wish and maybe the God has something to do with Kobato's wish. >.< I wonder if Kohaku will show up?

IF the statement still stay true, then that summary sound VERY ahead of what is being released ^^;; [since a summary before the series even released should be something that can give the reader an intro idea that can easily be spotted on the 1st volumes of a series, wouldn't it??]

The thing is I don't think the publisher had so much info about a series which didn't even started at the moment (Ohkawa don't even share all her ideas with her coworkers, so let's not even talk about a publisher ^^;;), so it's very likely it's Clamp who gave them this summary. And if we look at it the other way around, I don't think Clamp would have let them publish something false either after reading the text, in case they weren't the ones who wrote it...
But again, that was a line that appeared in 2005 and was never re-used again: Clamp might have changed their plans along the way. After all, they did say this is going to be a long series and in which nothing much happens.

Well, yes? ^^;; All the sugar like thingy she got in her bottle, she got them helping someone or making them happy in a way or another, it's actually all what's she has been doing from the start of the series.
