Hm... I wonder why is it SO important that R|Syaoran "always" need to take on Cloney by himself?? And I suppose those subordinates may be the same one that are called forth from Chapter 1 [they were fighting with Touya and such]??

My japanese <s>guessing</s> skill is like always: null ^^;; But for once, the rubbish given away by the online translator could actually give a sensible sentence ('true small wolf''='real Syaoran', 'black steel'=Kurogane', 'taking a partner sent by ['rubbish'='FWR'] to allow small wolf to be partner with the copy' (or something like that...)=Kuro+Yuui fighting an underling to leave Syao to battle against the clone...etc...ah, but 'Yuui' was written correctly :P )

Since we learned in XXXHolic that SxS are 'waiting for their children' and, from all Clamp has been building up, that we can't really expect much romance between the real 'Syaoran and 'Sakura' in TRC, I can only guess that CCS|SxS son is definitely going back home together with his parents at the end of all those events (it won't be a 'happy ending' if SxS are separated from their kid forever anyway, and there would be no meaning behind CCS|Syaoran giving a different 'identity' to Watanuki, by changing both his name/appearance, to allow both children to exist in one same world if he were to stay forever in Clow Country...). Meaning that if anyone is staying with the princess, it would be the clone...so is there Hope left for him or will Clamp show us his death at the hands of 'Syaoran'?

Eyyyyaaa.. So that's mean Real Syaoran will return to his wolrld and Cloney will stay with Sakura in Clow? That's ok, as long as non-of them get killed and have a happy ending then it's fine for Chibi, although it would be sad for Real Syaoran of not being with his Sakura

I don't want C! and R!Syaoran to fight...
I still hope C!Syaoran would get a hearth inside him and fight against FWR too

That is a difference in our POV we've got here: because I personally believe that while 'Syaoran' care about the princess, it's not Love.
He feels grief and regrets for not being able to keep the promise of protecting her and we can see how those feelings pushed him into the actual situation, where he is back to the moment he regretted not taking the princess' hand...And yes, he also undoubtedly cares, A LOT, for her, but I see no romance from his side: it feels more like he sees all the members of the Royal Family of Clow like family, 'Sakura' included.

Eh..Chibi is confused! So it's not love after all? Real Syaoran doesn't see the princess as his love instead of a member of the Royal family? But why is he so keen to protect her that much? ah.. this is so confusing

This is my just own POV, that I got from the chapters I read up until now. Each person must feel differently about it...I personally see no romance between those two, and believe he will go back to his home world with his parents.
You too must have your own views about the subject.

Well in the flashbacks we are talking about a six and seven year old here so it couldn't be love instantly. But after the years the real Syaoran could've grown feelings for Sakura but couldn't fall in love with her because of the whole "She's a princess and I'm not..." in which Cloney talked about that somewhere in the first chapter I belive. Syaoran's more of a knight in shining armor trying to protect Sakura because knights aren't allowed to fall in love with their princess to protect....I'll stope ranting now....

As for Syaoran fighting Cloney. MAybe Syaoran chose to fight Cloney, because he wants to convince Cloney one last time that he has a heart of something. After all, R! Syaoran and Cloney aren't the same, but they DID share a heart before. So...maybe that's why.

As for the waiting for their children, it could be interpted as they are waiting for them to make the right choice or to find peace or something in their hearts at last.
As for the romance, we'll just have to wait and see. :) Clamp could always surprise us.

There is no definite answer from CLAMP about R|Syaoran's perspective of Sakura... As CuteSherry-san said, "And yes, he also undoubtedly cares, A LOT, for her". However, as of now, it is an open interpretation for his reasoning. It can be:

(1) He regretted his action [his hesitation] for what would happen to Sakura-hime. He was [or is still] trying to make things right despite the consequences and sin that he is bearing through all these time.
(2) As Syaoran's character, he is making the decision to keep the promise he made [after Sakura helped him out to out-win Touya ;)] for Sakura which is "If anybody ever tried to bully you in the future...then next time... I will make sure I'll protect you!!"
(3) There's also the interpretation of WHY he decided to make such promise which is out of love: For R|Syaoran to make such a promise to a girl who merely know him for only a few days, is this really just "out of spontaneous"?? or is there more to his promise?? Even though it can be interpreted as "responsibility", he is willing to sacrifice everything to protect her. To the readers' eyes, it can express out as "A promise to protect is for the person he love, and this is a promise that will last for a lifetime"
(4) And of course, there's the interpretation which is R|Syaoran gave out his everything [bearing the sin of breaking a taboo] to protect Sakura is because he viewed her as close as his family especially the royal family and Clow Country has became his second home [he did spend over half of his life there].

So, until the series has finally concluded or when CLAMP give us more insight about R|Syaoran and Sakura relationship... there's NOT a definite answer for which reasoning it is. Everyone has their own thinking about the development of the story!!

I still don't understand why ccsakura and ccsyaoran would send their son to this if there was the possibility of all these distortions and consequences in the different worlds ...
ah well.. At least there are signs of an ending

well, for me they're in love... at least Sakura love him... C!Sakura almost confesed her love for C!Syaoran before she dies, and R!Sakura shows a special feeling for R!Syaoran... she blushesh in front of him and I think that is an love evidence
