TRC 217 spoilers

I absolutely did not want to be spoiled until April 1st, but in my LJ flist, su_chan put a picture spoiler, and it wasn't under a cut DAMMIT!! *banging head on a wall*
So yeah, it was hard to miss Sakura -chan with her high school uniform, saying 'everything is gonna be alright'

Anyway, guys, try not to hyperventilate at the sight of the spoiler pic ;)



This is definitely fan service, and we like it!! XD XD But I'm having a hard time understanding where we are getting at with this? ^^;;
So, in the middle of FWR's dimension with everyone bloody hurt and the world falling in pieces, we got a picture of Sakura-chan beaming all cute and sweet like she was in vol12 of CCS? ^^;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; *why in school uniform...? Clamp REALLY don't want to show her as an adult, no matter what...*
It's totally absurd but I can't help smiling *Clamp got me, with a pic like that, even if it make no sens, I can't help but smile*

I will personally take a deep breath and not read/see any spoilers (text or scans) until April 1st: it's a very special date and I really want to wait for it before seeing the actual chapter ^^
I personally have high expectations for the color pages (I hope there will be color pics ^^;; there were no announcement but hey! It's April 1st and we are nearing the end of the volume, there should be color pages by now!)
And again: I wanna see CCS|Syaoran! His expressionless face in Holic did not satisfy my rabid fangirl self! :P

Yes!! Colour pages would be much better than a longer chapter any day...but not just any colour pages... they have to be of CCS|SxS! XD!

I also think the sentence is said in both Holic and TRc at the same moment, it's just that seeing CCS sakura as a high schooler in the middle of nowhere is pure bliss on one side as a fan, but makes no sens nonetheless when you think it over ^^; She really is an adult married woman and a mother.

That's some nice spoiler ^__^ 2 possibilities for THAT picture (A) we are heading for CCS|SxS flashback mode meaning CLAMP is explaining from their perspective probably before son|Syaoran was born (B) Maybe "someone" remembered the old time when Sakura utter that golden phase "Everything is going to be alright" [you know with the xxxholic crossover thingy]
Now we just need high school Syaoran-kun to complete the picture :D

For the one who remembered, there's only one who could've done such a thing: Syaoran Li, the real REAL one, AKA CCSyaoran. And CCSakura x CCSyaoran flashback, yay!

I've been really hoping for a flashback with CCS|SxS only but it seems just too good to be true!!
All the previous flashbacks were 'introduced' in a way or another by a characters: we got to see Kurogane's past through the book of memories; we got to know about Yuui's past thanks to Ashura who revealed all of it; we also learned about 'Syaoran' with him telling his own story...but what could happen now? Will we really get CCS|SxS and the rest of the gang sitting down in circle and hear them out and it will begin like "and this is how everything happened, starting from the moment Sakura went jumping in my arms (spoiler scan) when I came back from HK, we were still young and in high school....blablabla" XD XD XD

Jokes aside, I am truly hoping for a flashback, and I'm sure I won't get bored of a CCS|SxS FB! :D Clamp could give us a whole volume of it, those chapters would be very welcome! ;) Maybe Yuuko could take the position of narrator and tell about CCS|SxS's story the past 20 years? I think it's a good option ^^

Oh a flashback would just be LOVELY! It's probaly going to be an entire volume, but if it's about our beloved CCS couple then that's fine with me. And that pic with CCS Sakura. . . oh if we have C!Sakura, R!Sakura and CCS!Sakura all together wearing the same dress then that'll be pretty hard to tell them apart ^^;

^^;;;; It has been like 10 months later since the true identity of R|Syaoran is revealed

The establishment from Chapter 189 [yes, I practically and would most probably remember that chapter by heart for the rest of my life XD because it is THE "all TRC fandom go wild and lots of cursing flying around",adding with that happened on my b-day too] have already confirmed that TRC indeed HAS a huge connection with CCS... and I mean R|Syaoran is CCS|SxS's son... THAT is the big hint back then THAT told everyone "This is what CLAMP intended to do for the development of TRC" ...

When you say "MORE THAN THAT"... what do you expect CLAMP to do/use when they introduced R|Syaoran = CCS|SxS's son [I mean other than THIS = Tsubasa to end up as some type of sequel to CCS]

This is the end of TRC, CCS|SS will be introduced for *at most* 1 or 2 volumes maximum, in a series that got 28-29 volumes in total. They definitely play a big role, but it's not like the past 27 volumes was about them either, actually, they were pretty much absent apart from being 'talked about' as the 'parents' once in a while, after 'Syaoran' was officially introduced as their son.
And you will notice those 2 are the only one from CCS that are really actively implicated in TRC's story, to put it simply: I do not see it as a sequel, but as a crossover between not 2 but 3 mangas: CCS, TRC, Holic.
And 'crossover' is what TRC is all about, since the very start.
But yeah, on the other side it's indeed true this is really happening in the future of CCS ^^; But TRC is still not a pure continuation either, like I said above. It got its very own characters, plot story and events.

I agree. Tsubasa is a SERIES of cross overs. We've seen characters from ALL of Clamp's works out front and in different situations but the only ones who have not appeared are those from CCS. It is supposed to play a big role, but I don't think it's meant to overshadow that the journey here is not CCS Sakura and CCS Shaoran's but of their Son(s) and the people in other worlds that they associate with.

I think the only actual clamp series we haven't had characters from are CCS, Wish, Kobato, Legal Drug and Suki. But if we use holic as a tie in we see Suki, Legal Drug, and Kobato though indirectly.

If you are comparing TRC/CCS and TRC/xxxholic type of crossover... There's a different between them ^^;; TRC/xxxholic certainly represent the story, character and plot happened around the same timeline. In a sense something happen in either TRC or xxxholic would have a direct effect toward each other "development" of the storyline.
BUT TRC/CCS ... TRC DO indeed represent the future of CCS... some story / plotline that is a continuation of what happen after CCS, especially we are dealing with son of CCS couple from the story.

Well, Tsubasa is "MORE" than that, if you haven't noticed. CCS had a different message than Tsubasa has (well, as it has until now). In CCS everything seems possible, if you simply say that everything will be alright. On the other hand we have Tsubasa, that tells us that deals with a wish that cannot be fullfilled by anyone. From the very beginning it showed us that there are things that are impossible. The motive of the dead that are supposed to return to life can be seen in the whole series. I mean, Chun Hyang learned that she has lost her mother forever. Ashura was not able to bring Yasha back to Life. Yuui will never see his brother again. Kurogane lost his parents. And now we watch how a man tries desperatly to revive someone. This story is deeper than that of CCS ever was (that doesn't make CCS bad, I still like this series. But I like Tsubasa for its deep story and its messages). So, well, it is not just a sequel.

BTW: I'd prefer reading your anger expressed in a different way next time. It is always Ok to say what you dislike, but not this way. You should give reasons like moezy-chan did here and not just rant like this.

And now for my thoughts. I'm having mixed feelings about this. Can't say I didn't expect this to happen, since they said that son!Syaoran is CCS&S's son. I'm somewhat thrilled that Sakura-chan, in her adolescent cuteness is appearing XD and I won't deny it. That is adorable! XD The cutest thing since we saw R!Sakura-chan as a child, showing C!Syaoran the birds XD But at the same time, it finally confirms that CCS, in someway, is the precurser to Tsubasa...and that Tsubasa is in fact a sequel. I won't deny that it is somewhat like a crossover, but the fact that it's not just another series that CLAMP put in, but in fact directly related does suggest that it is a sequel.

Part of me wonders if the series started going downhill, and was losing its popularity, for good reason...and CLAMP decided to throw CCS&S in to drag back the CCS fans. Again, huge fanbase. Put CCS in, and it might possibly drag the CCS fans back. Well, that's half true, since I'm still reading after all...

I'm also wondering if this is in real time, where Sakura-chan amazingly has the same power as Eriol, and can stop her growth XD And I still say that he needs to be put into the series -_- or if this might be a flashback. I'm intruiged to say the least. A very WTF, but interesting plot twist XD though, what hasn't been since Tokyo Revelations? XD

I simply meant that TRC is 'not a sequel of CCS' in the sens that it got its own story, it's own heroes and heroines and own events and timelines. It's evident that Holic and CCS respective implication with TRC are not the same.
TRC/Holic are indeed both the future of the two protagonists of CCS and their sons, without a doubt. Still TRC is more then a simple sequel since it showed us the lives of many new characters and their struggles.
Not that I'm complaining about the 'sequel' part, far from it actually, since I've been wishing to see CCS implicated in TRC for several years now; I guess I must be part of the category of fans who wanted *badly* for CCS to be *a big* part of TRC, and I got my wish. I might actually have lost interest in the manga if the 'sakura' and 'syaoran' in TRC really did not have anything to do with the CCS ones, and were simple 'look alike'...
But I do not deny that TRC has its own' identity' either, other then just giving me the pleasure of showing off my fav male character years later with his wife and kids.
