Hmmm. I guess, that clamp only put them in in order to have a larger fanbase is not true. Tsubasa has a huge fanbase, otherwise they would not start these projects like the OADs we have now. I think, they planned to bring CCs into this story from the beginning. the plot twists are complicated but well-structured. To change those twists after planning them would be really complicated and difficult.
